Receiving an Error Message "Unverified IP Address"

Modified on Fri, 6 Mar at 12:04 PM

When a login attempt is made to a Bitgo Account from a new location (IP Address), an alert will be triggered at the login screen which reads:

"You are trying to log in from an unverified IP address. Please check your email."

This triggers an email with the subject, 'Action Required:  Authorize Bitgo Login from...'  Within this email there will be a hyperlink to 'Authorize IP Address'.  Clicking this link will redirect back to the login page to authenticate to the platform once more.  Successful login will provide access to wallets and assets connected to the account.

Note:  When clicking the link in the email, use the same device that initially triggered the email.  It is also recommended to use the same browser and same network used when the error occurred.

If the triggered email does not arrive in the inbox, please check spam and junk folder of the email account.  If the email does not arrive or login is still not possible after verifying the IP Address, please contact support@bitgo.com to create a Support Ticket.  We will investigate the issue further.

If an unexpected IP Verification email arrives in the inbox or the IP Address shown in the received email is not recognized, please do not verify the IP.  It may be advisable to reset the login password for the email address connected to the Bitgo account.
