Hot Wallet Creation
Step 1: Log in to your account on https://app.bitgo.com/
Step 2: Navigate to the “Wallets” tab on the left side and select “+ New Wallet.”
Step 3:
- Input a name for your wallet
- Select “Asset” type as “ZETA"
- Click on “Continue”

Note: ZETA is gated in some entity configurations. Contact support@Bitgo.com for more information
Step 4:
- Select Wallet type as “Self-Custody Hot”
- Click on “Continue”
Step 5: Setup Wallet password
Option 1: Use your login password as the wallet password. (Recommended)
Option 2: Generate a new, separate wallet password.
- Click on Continue
Step 6: Select how you want to manage your Backup Key
Step 7: Review your wallet creation
You should print the KeyCard and/or save the PDF to an offline storage device. The print-out or USB stick should be kept in a safe place, such as a bank vault or home safe.
- Enter the “Activation Code”
- Check “I have secured my KeyCard offline and deleted file from my computer”
- Click on “Create Wallet”
You have successfully created your Self-Managed Hot Wallet.
To initialize the wallet, user needs to deposit any amount of the tokens supported.
Important: If you haven't provided an external backup key, then the original PDF should be deleted from any machine where the wallet will be regularly accessed to prevent malware from capturing both the KeyCard and your wallet passcode
Custodial Wallet Creation
- Follow the steps as described above:
- Step 4: Select wallet type as “Custodial”
